The Election Commission is contemplating on future new technologies in opposition to EVMs by political parties. In this link, EVMs are likely to be technically upgraded and support certification is also done. After the implementation of this new system, the identity of voter identity will also end and they will be able to vote through support certification. Chief Election Commissioner P. Rawat said in a conversation with the English newspaper that the verdict of the Supreme Court is yet to come. In it they are waiting.
The Election Commission will go ahead with the task of linking voter list to support. With this, it is likely that technological improvements in EVMs will also be incorporated into it. Until now, new things are happening in the technology. Rawat said that the advantage of this is that voters will not have to prove their identity. When voting takes place, many people remain in the process.
The use of new technology will facilitate the process of voter identification. With the introduction of a new system, the voting process will take less time. The Election Commission had started the process of linking voter lists in the past. Almost thirty million voters also linked support to the voters list. But later on the Supreme Court had put a stop to this. Since then this operation is delayed. The Election Commission has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court that permission to link support to voter list is allowed. There are 87 crore voters in the country.
